The Galvanized Iron lightning arrester is made of galvanized iron which lasts longer than normal iron due to its anti-corrosive property. The primary material is galvanized iron and there is a coating of zinc which protects the iron from getting rust. This GI lightning arrester is designed with five spikes and spherical ball shape. The base of the lighting arrester has four holes, which are for the installation purpose. It is installed with a non-conductive part of FRP (Fibre Reinforcement Plastic) by attaching it with a mast. It offers coverage with an angle of 45 degrees from the peak of the lightning arrester, that is approximately 3 meters of the area around the lightning arrester. The area also can be increased by increasing the height of the lightning arrestor.

The outer structure is made of plastic which does not allow the surge current to flow through its body. The device is also dustproof and water-resistant, so there will be no issue in case it is placed in an open environment. The electromagnetic display will show a maximum of 6 digits. With an operating temperature of 0.20 ??? +85, it is one of the most efficient lightning strike counters. It is tested with 100 kA of current.
